AI Search & GEO

Search did not die. It moved into the conversation.

Generative Engine Optimization is how brands stay recommendable when the decision happens inside an AI answer instead of a list of links.

Four steps from links to agents.

  • 01

    Traditional Search

Keywords in, ten blue links out. Brands competed for rankings.

  • 02

    AI Search

Full questions in, one synthesized answer out. AI evaluates sources and explains differences.

  • 03

    AI Shopping

Assistants compare products conversationally and recommend specific brands with reasons.

  • 04

    AI Purchasing Agents

Agents complete the checkout. Shopify Agentic Storefronts are already transacting today.

How an AI recommendation gets made.

  • Question "What's the best ... for ...?"
  • AI evaluates sources Reads product data, reviews and mentions, then filters the field. This is the layer we optimize.
  • Brand selected A shortlist of one to three brands gets named.
  • Website visited The shopper arrives pre-sold, deep in consideration.
  • Purchase AI referrals convert better than non-AI traffic.

Eight steps, run in order.

01 AI Visibility Audit

We test hundreds of real buying prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Mode to establish where you appear today, where competitors appear instead, and why.

02 Website Analysis

A machine-readability review: rendering, crawlability for AI agents, bot access, page structure, and how much of your content language models can actually parse.

03 Entity Optimization

We strengthen how AI understands your brand as an entity: consistent naming, category associations, founder and origin facts, and knowledge graph signals.

04 Schema Improvements

Product, Offer, Review, FAQ and Organization markup implemented and validated, so AI can confirm price, availability, ratings and specs without guessing.

05 Content Expansion

Buying guides, comparison pages and structured FAQs written the way shoppers actually ask, the pages AI systems cite most when composing recommendations.

06 Product Context Enhancement

Enriching product pages with use cases, materials, compatibility, sizing and differentiators, the attribute-level detail AI uses to compare you.

07 Citation Optimization

Most AI brand mentions trace back to third-party pages. We build presence in the review sites, listicles and communities language models treat as evidence.

08 Continuous AI Monitoring

Monthly tracking of mentions, citations and share of voice across every major platform, with re-testing as models and shopping surfaces evolve.

What clients ask first.

What is AI Search Optimization?

It is the practice of making a brand discoverable, understandable and recommendable to AI systems. Instead of optimizing pages to rank in a list of links, we optimize how AI reads product data, evaluates the brand and decides whether to recommend it inside an answer. It is also called Generative Engine Optimization, or GEO.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO wins rankings. GEO wins recommendations. SEO targets keywords and links. We target how language models parse product data, resolve a brand as an entity and weigh third-party evidence.

How long does it take to see results?

Technical fixes such as schema, feeds and readability often show movement in four to eight weeks as AI systems re-crawl. Entity and citation work compounds over three to six months.

Which AI platforms do you optimize for?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus emerging agentic surfaces like Shopify Agentic Storefronts.

Can you actually measure AI visibility?

Yes. We track brand mentions, citations and cited pages per platform, monthly AI audience reach, and downstream signals such as analytics traffic from assistants and agentic storefront sessions and revenue.

Can this replace SEO?

No, and be wary of anyone who says it can. Strong traditional SEO remains a foundation AI systems draw on. This work extends it to where decisions increasingly happen.
